ABOUT US
AI Vision develops AI-based vision systems for the manufacturing industry. Our systems are used to automate visual inspection in processes where manual control is still common – for example, to detect defects, assess whether a product meets specifications, or support decisions about actions to take.
Since 2017, we’ve worked with companies in sectors such as wood processing, metal, energy, and automotive components. What these projects have in common is a clear need to detect deviations – and the requirement that the technology must work in practice, not just in theory.
We build our solutions using cameras and AI models trained on real production data. The systems learn to recognize visual patterns and signal when something deviates – either as decision support for operators or as part of an automated control loop.
How we work
INITIAL DISCOVERY
We usually start with a digital meeting to get an overview of your challenges. After that, we ask for reference material – such as images or video from your production – to assess whether the task is suitable for AI vision.
GATHERING INFORMATION
In some cases, remote analysis is sufficient. In other cases, we schedule a site visit to better understand the production flow, lighting conditions, and the process as a whole. Once we’ve gathered enough information, we follow up with a concrete proposal for how to move forward.
PROPOSING THE BEST SOLUTION
Our role is to translate what happens in your environment into something that can be automated using camera-based deviation detection. That might mean a system for visual quality control, or it might involve detecting jams, reducing waste, or freeing up operator time.
Our team
We are a team with backgrounds in computer vision, machine learning, and industrial automation – trained at technical universities such as KTH and ETH Zurich.
For us, technology is a tool, not a goal. Much of our work is about understanding what actually happens in production, how operators work, and what it takes for a system to function in daily use.
We’ve built solutions for manufacturers with a wide range of needs – from sawmill log intake to surface inspection in the metal and food industries. What we bring from one project to the next is not a fixed product, but a working method: gather the right data, define the problem clearly, and test the solution until it runs reliably.
