Master Thesis Opportunity: Industrial Computer Vision

Master Thesis Topic:

The master thesis will focus on working with advanced computer vision models for real-world industrial applications, such as detecting misplaced components or cracks / lighting on product surfaces. Below are a few potential areas for exploration:

  • High precision semantic / panoptic Segmentation: millimeter precision detection of objects and surfaces
  • Object / Key Points Detection: Detecting cracks and scratches in metals, wood, and plastics.
  • Language Vision Foundation Models: Assisting in labeling data and fine-tuning models.
  • Fast 3D Model Construction: Using techniques like NeRF or Gaussian Splat to create 3D models efficiently.

 

Who you are:

  • A master’s student with strong Python programming skills.
  • Interested in computer vision, deep learning, and their real-world applications.
  • Bonus: You have taken DD2424 Advanced Deep Learning, DD2412 Deep Learning or similar courses.
